How to configure Internet Explorer for the use of ACT! for Web ACT! for web is now free if you have ACT! Premium 2009 or above. Your users can access ACT! over the internet through a Web browser. If you do not have ACT! for Web set-up and you are an ACT! Premium customer then contact us to arrange for this to be configured. To configure the client Web Browser for optimal performance you will need to allow cookies, add your ACT! Premium for Web Web site to the trusted list and configure ActiveX security. Use the following steps:

- Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options . The Internet Options dialog box appears.
- Under the Privacy tab, click the Advanced button. The Advanced Privacy Settings dialog box appears.
- Enable the Override automatic cookie handling option. Ensure that the Accept option is enabled for First-party Cookies and Third-party Cookies . Click OK to exit the Advanced Privacy Settings dialog box.
- Click Apply , and then click OK to exit the Internet Options dialog box.
Configuring the Trusted Sites Zone: - Launch Internet Explorer .
- Click the Tools menu, and then Internet Options . The Internet Options dialog box appears.
- Under the Privacy tab, click the Edit button in the Web Sites section. The Per Site Privacy Actions dialog box appears.
- Type your Web site address into the Address of Web site field, click Allow , and then click OK to exit the Per Site Privacy Actions dialog box .
- Click Apply and OK to exit the Internet Options dialog box.
Configuring ActiveX Security: In order to use certain features in ACT! Premium for Web, you must install two ActiveX controls, TX Test Control and Common Dialog . - TX Text Control installs with ACT! Premium for Web and has the same security setting as ACT!.
- Common Dialog is part of the Microsoft security zone which some users may need to install. Default browser settings typically prompt users to install ActiveX controls. Please inform your users that it is safe to install these controls.
Note: While using ACT! Premium for Web, users will be unable to access the Internet Explorer View source function and the shortcut menu.
