You can choose to start ACT! with either the Contacts view, Contact List view, or the Dashboard view. Use the following steps to change the way that your database opens.
Note: The changes implemented in this database will be specific to your computer. If other users would like to change the way that ACT! opens they will need to perform the same steps on their computer. - Launch ACT!
- Click Tools and select Preferences.
- The Preferences dialog box will appear. Click the Startup tab.

- Under the Startup tab in the Log On Settings area, select your desired view.
- Click Apply and click OK to close the Preferences dialog box.
