Add a New site to the Web Info Tab

Note: If you want to associate a Web site with fields in a contact or company record, you should be familiar with parameter passing in URLs. 

  1. From a Contact Detail or Company Detail view, click the Web Info tab.
  2. Click Edit Links. 

     

  3. In the Edit Links dialog box, click Add. 

     

  4. In the Site Name box, type a descriptive name for the Web site.
  5. In the URL box, type or paste a Web site address.
  6. (Optional) To associate the Web address with a field in ACT!, do the following: 

    Note: The Web service you choose must provide support for parameter passing in URLs.
    1. Click Advanced Edit. 

       

    2. Under Select Field, select an ACT! field. Click Add. 

       

    3. (Optional) Select additional fields to associate with the Web address. In the Source URL box, add a plus sign (+) between each field. To remove a field, you will need to manually delete it in the Source URL box.
      Example: http://www.weather.com={Contact.City}+{Contact.State}+{Contact.Zip}
    4. When you are finished, click OK.
  7. Click OK.
