How To Create ACT! Activities From Microsoft® Outlook® Messages In ACT! by Sage 2009

One of the new features in ACT! 2009 is the ability to quickly create an ACT! activity from an e-mail message in Outlook. This will work provided that the sender of the e-mail is a contact in your ACT! database.

How to create an ACT! activity from an e-mail message
  1. In Outlook, highlight an e-mail message from a sender who you know to be a contact in your ACT! database.
  2. Click on the Create ACT! Activity icon on the Outlook toolbar.

  3. The ACT! Schedule Activity dialogue box will appear and the sender of the e-mail will fill in under the "Schedule With" field.
Note: If you select an email for a contact that is not in your database and click the Create ACT! Activity icon, the contact on the Schedule Activity screen will default to your logged-in user record. If the e-mail address of the sender is present in more than one contact record, you will be given a choice of which contact to schedule the activity with.

  4. Complete the information on this screen and click OK to schedule the activity with that contact.
