We're pleased to announce that updates for ACT! 2009 v11.10 are available for the following variants of the software: - ACT! by Sage 2009 v11.10
- ACT! Premium 2009 EX v11.10
- ACT! Premium for Web 2009 v11.10

Where can I get this update?You can download the updates from the Updates area of our website What changes have been made to ACT! 2009 v11.10?ACT! 2009 v11.10 introduces a number of software improvements, which are documented. Some of the key improvements include: Improved installation experience - There are now two installation options, Typical and Custom. It now takes fewer clicks to complete the Typical Installation, whilst the Custom installation is more flexible than ever. Related Contacts - Using the new Related Contacts feature, you can create key relationships between contact records. For example, if Contact A has an influential relationship with Contact B, this can be recorded for future sales or marketing campaigns. For more information about this new feature, please refer to our Info page Licensing and Activation - ACT! 2009 v11.10 detects whether a proxy server is being used. Upon activation the user can connect and register their ACT! software through their proxy server.

Withdrawal of Sale/Support Policy for ACT! v7 and v8
As of 31 August 2009 Sage are adopting a policy of no longer selling new support contracts or additional licences to any ACT! v7 & v8 users.
Why Sage are doing this
ACT! v7 & v8 are now 3 and 4 years old respectively and are not maintained or tested on the latest operating systems. The Withdrawal of Sale/Support Policy enables you to take advantage of the latest technology and allows Sage to focus resource on improving the quality of its software and support.
Which versions this applies to
This policy applies from 11 March 2009 to the following versions of ACT!: Important dates No additional licences of ACT! v7 & v8 will be available to purchase on or after 1 September 2009. Customers whose existing annual SageCover contract expires on or before 31 August 2009 may renew their contract for one further year. No new SageCover contracts for ACT! versions 7 & 8 will be available to purchase on or after 1 September 2009. All technical support for ACT! versions 7 & 8 will end on 31 August 2010.
*Sage will continue to offer additional licenses and SageCover contracts on ACT! 2007, 2008 & 2009 until further notice. What Does This Mean To You?
If you are an existing ACT! 7 or 8 User you might want to investigate the following: - Switching your existing SageCover arrangements to Cameno Limited who have their own dedicated Team of Technical Support Specialists.
